An Alchemy Retreat is a complete sight, sound, body-mind, and heart experience. All of your senses will be used and awakened.

Guided and silent meditations, experiments with the body-mind and experience, self-inquiry, bio-feedback, and the practice of The Alchemy of Love and Joy™ will provide opportunity for you to expand beyond your past ideas about who you thought you were, stripping away old thoughts and limiting beliefs, and creating new openings for your true potential.

In the Ottawa area, the one or two day retreats are held on a Heritage Home on waterfront and include gourmet vegetarian meals (food sensitivities are accommodated). Overnight accommodation is available for a limited number of travelers – contact Cindy and book early!

Positive thinking can make you miserable

Have you ever tried to force a good thought onto a bad feeling? You know it does not work, and it probably makes things even worse. The Alchemy of Love and Joy™ is the radical reversal of current expert advice, and it is something you can prove in your own experience, again and again, until it becomes your natural, habitual way of being. With “Alchemy” you feel good first. Then good thoughts naturally and easily flow to support it. Only in a better feeling state can you see with clear vision. The term “blind rage” is literal; bad feeling states block our access to seeing, hearing, and knowing intelligence and truth. I discovered this and many other truths after intense weeks of suffering when the pain was suddenly transmuted into and by joy. I was compelled to drop everything and write a book.

Within four days I had The Alchemy of Love and Joy™ written, produced, and printed, and the website designed and online. I remember emailing friends at two and three in the morning, playfully, crazily asking: “Someone, please stop me!” I could hardly contain myself because, after about six weeks of intense pain, I was like a kid who suddenly discovered she was in the midst of a candy store–and all the candy was free!

For about another six weeks I was happy and even ecstatic no matter what I did, or what happened, and everywhere I went. Yet a treasure discovered is a lesser one than a treasure shared. I was so amazed at the simplicity yet also the power of this, and how joy has always been available, and is available to all of us, that there was no way I could not NOT share.

I have come to know that there is a way to end the stream of stressful thinking, to awaken joy in your life, and to clear the path to realize who you really are. And while you can get the principles from a book, there is nothing like experiencing and applying it in your being. So I have designed a retreat, based on the book and more importantly, based on my experience, to help people realize the same freedom I have and to awaken joy in their lives.

Inhale deeply…lavender delights the air as you enter the clear, loving, comfortable and safe space to learn how to access the good feeling that is an inseparable part of your very being. Then, feeling good, you use that to transcend the habits of ego and of “past” and “future,” and you come into the freedom of now with access to infinite intelligence. This is what practicing The Alchemy of Love and Joy™ does. When you do the practice, there is often not only a “release” around the situation; there can be humour about how you could have thought, believed or acted any other way.

This is not self-improvement. You will not become something more—you cannot become more perfect than you are, but you can see, know, and experience with perfect eyes. Someone once said to me, “I am too tired of coming up with new visions of truth. I want to cut through imagery and reasoning and go to the root of my being.” Somehow it is recognized that there is some thing… more. Oh yes! There is—and it is very good news! This is a wonderful point to come to because only then can concepts and thoughts which caused suffering and kept you from reality no longer be believed in. Only then can you clear the way to now.

In January of 2010 I experienced direct knowing of self, which came with intense love deep from within being, and uncontrollable crying with the intensity of love and joy. Laughter burst-out everywhere at the simplicity of the recognition, and every cell was involuntarily tickled spontaneously. I share personal details of this and other events with participants, readers and subscribers.

You can learn how to detach and to feel good no matter what is going on around you. Become self-fulfilling, and know the rock-solid foundation and freedom that being self-fulfilling creates. Become so self-fulfilled that you can’t be hurt, and can’t hurt anyone. Fill yourself with so much love that it cannot be contained and overflows onto others.

When you practice Alchemy you find inner solutions to outer problems—the only kind of solutions you can truly rely on, and the only one that never leaves you. You can learn to use Alchemy to resolve relationship issues and experience more genuine love, intimacy, and joy in life than you have lived or imagined possible. Cleansed of any need for the outside, you learn how to look for—and at—”the treasure house within.” How you feel inside is what appears to manifest on the outside. You can learn how to use this now.
