Love itself never hurts. Cindy demonstrates Alchemy with this client, who asks if feeling love without a partner is imagination. In truth, it is imagination to believe that love “came” from someone else. Such attachment is the root cause of all pain. All suffering is imagination, and unnecessary.
You might know Fluffy from previous videos, or from my first book, Alchemy. Years ago, he interrupted me in the middle of my suffering, dramatically teaching me the difference between the story (or movie in the mind), and reality–and how to wake up out of it.
Inner peace implies something different and in opposition to outer peace. It implies independence from outer peace.
But our society believes that our inner peace is dependent upon our outer peace, and so we are continually trying to control outer things, people, and events in order to ensure our inner peace.
Spirituality can be interpreted in a way that renders one a “doormat,” as though spirituality calls for having no preferences or boundaries of one’s own. But even awakened people draw boundaries, and take action to benefit the ecological whole.
